With Marathon's free "Books!" software, simply import your photographs and the associated names into the program, and the software automatically lays out the portraits and text in the proper order - ready to be printed. Each 8½"x11" directory is customized with choice of background, cover design, font style, and page layout format. Choose from 6, 9, 12, or 16 portrait images per page. Marathon's short-run directories are produced on our state-of-the-art, variable data digital press in full-color and feature 100-lb. coated text stock with a heavier cover for durability.

Personalization

Marathon’s advanced variable-data technology allows personalization of individual copies of many publications. Your customers will be thrilled at the opportunity to see their own name, portrait, signature or custom artwork displayed on the cover of their own book (minimum order 50 books). Please note: Cover personalization is NOT available for Hardback books.

Marathon Press offers the most popular binding options for your publication. For other binding styles, ask for details and a price quote.

Digital File Submission

We welcome Pelican Software, InDesign, PageMaker, QuarkXpress and Photoshop files which have been properly formatted to Marathon specifications. For specifications, please visit File Specifications. Any additional file preparation work is charged at $65 per hour. Pagemaker files may incur additional charges. Call for details.

Proofs

One proof will be provided at no charge. Shipping charges apply.

Expedited shipping of proofs, if required, is an extra charge.

Proof Corrections

Customers are urged to proofread carefully and make any necessary corrections prior to submission to avoid additional charges.

Shipping

For books, UPS Ground service is standard, and will be added to all shipments. Contact us with your special requests or for other shipping options.

Terms

Total order is due when layout is submitted. Balance due when books are approved. We accept MasterCard and Visa. A $60 deposit is due (applies to order) when Pelican Software is registered and activated.
